WINDSURFER'S PARADISEWINDSURFING

Cape Town’s West Coast is a windsurfer’s paradise with its long stretches of coastline and the prevailing South Easter wind.

Not only is Atlantic Beach Villa a mere 250 metre walk to the beach, but it’s a stone’s throw away from another of Cape Town’s best kept secrets: Milnerton Aquatic Club at Rietvlei.

This natural body of fresh water forms part of the Table Bay Nature Reserve, and owing to its proximity to the coastline, it is an ideal place for windsurfing, sailing and powerboat enthusiasts alike.

Sunset Beach on Cape Town’s West Coast is extremely popular with local and international windsurfers, so much so that many professional wind surfers choose to spend 3 months of the year here, season after season. Atlantic beach Villa is just a 3-minute walk to the beach, so many of our windsurfing guests kit up at the guesthouse and take a stroll down for a sunset surf.

Wind conditions are usually at their best after midday, which leaves ample time for our windsurfing guests to start their day with a hearty breakfast in our sunny breakfast room.
